What is All-on-4 / All-on-6 Treatment?

It is a treatment method in which implants with special thread designs are placed into the jawbone at specific angles in cases where there is insufficient jawbone, allowing fixed temporary prostheses to be attached within 24–72 hours.
It is based on the principle of placing 4 or 6 implants into the upper or lower jaw to create fixed screw-retained bridge prostheses.

In Which Situations is This Treatment Applied?

  • When teeth need to be extracted due to numerous cavities

  • In cases where all teeth are lost due to gum disease

  • When complete toothlessness is present

What Are the Advantages of This Treatment?

  • It is more comfortable compared to traditional methods

  • It provides rapid results

  • It is a method with high patient satisfaction and meets expectations

  • Aesthetic and functional benefits are achieved immediately

How Does the Examination Process Work?

  • The patient’s general health condition is evaluated

  • Some tests may be requested if deemed necessary

  • A personalized treatment plan is prepared by examining the jawbone density and anatomical regions through radiographic evaluation

How is the Operation Performed?

  • The procedure is performed under local anesthesia

  • A socket is created in the jawbone where the implant will be placed

  • The implant is placed into this socket using a screw technique

Is There Pain During the Operation?

No. Since the procedure is performed under local anesthesia, no pain is felt during the operation.

Is the Operation Costly?

Considering its success, long-term use, and comfort, implant treatment is quite cost-effective.

Post-Implant Considerations

Nutrition:

  • Nothing should be eaten or drunk for the first 2 hours

  • Hot food and drinks should be avoided for the first 24 hours

  • Soft and cold foods should be preferred; grainy foods should be avoided

  • The operated area should not be used while eating

Bleeding:

  • Provided gauze should be used at half-hour intervals depending on the bleeding

  • A small amount of bleeding on the first day is normal

  • Avoid spitting and excessive rinsing for the first 24 hours to allow healing

  • Frequent spitting should be avoided to prevent disturbing the clot

Brushing:

  • Teeth should not be brushed on the evening of the operation day

  • The mouth should be rinsed twice daily with antiseptic mouthwash or salt water for two weeks

  • Rinse duration should be one minute, and nothing should be eaten or drunk for 30 minutes afterward

Smoking and Alcohol:

  • Smoking and alcohol should be strictly avoided for the first 24 hours

  • It is extremely important to avoid smoking and alcohol until the surgical area is fully healed

Medication Use:

  • Prescribed medications to prevent pain and infection should be taken regularly and on time

  • Aspirin and similar blood-thinning medications should not be used until healing is complete

Cold Compress:

  • Swelling and bruising may occur on the cheek or under the eyes after surgery. This usually resolves on its own within 10 days

  • To reduce swelling, apply a cold compress to the area at 2-minute intervals on the first day after surgery

Suture Removal:

  • Stitches are removed 10–14 days after surgery

  • If dissolvable stitches were used, a follow-up appointment after 3 weeks is sufficient

Avoid exercise and physical activity for the first 24 hours, do not strain the implant area, and avoid touching it with fingers or other objects.
